I learned that power naps are extremely effective for me. I used to stress myself out when I could not write anything, but now I take a nap whenever I feel stuck. This makes my frustrations go away and helps my brain work better.
The problem I noticed is that I often would love to take a nap at a time that is too late in the day, so when I would take that nap I would mess with my sleep schedule
Maybe the nap is just too long? That’s also an issue for me sometimes, especially when I nap a few hours after dinner. Then it’s impossible to fall asleep before 1 a.m.
saw that it's a 5 min read and thought "woah this is might be the shortest letter you've written so far".or so i thought. you cheeky dinosaur. the meat is in the retrospection doc actually, who knew your inner world could be that intense
LOL. I think Substack only shows that it is a 6 minute read. Thanks for reading. Hope you gained something even though my retrospection note is pure chaos. I wrote whatever I found in my journal. I thought about arranging them in categories, but I had not enough time and I needed to publish already. Next time, I am thinking about making it a multi part newsletter to make things easier to absorb and more helpful to you and others. :)
so that's how the engineer brain is works, pure chaos is still organized. i like the rawness of it, too polished feels like we're on linkedin. also remembered the hospital bench detail, i'm on one rn and ohmygosh it's so cold my hards are freezing. how did you get to write lol
What spoke to me on a deeper level: "Take strategic power naps."

actually thought that too, but doesn't seem to matter. Maybe napping isn't meant for me. Not everything we love is good for us
